Basil is a must have herb for homemade pesto! This classic herb is known not just it's taste, but for its health benefits such as being high in antioxidants. Many of the health benefits dissipate with drying though, so this herb is best consumed fresh from your garden.

Since this herb prefers warm weather, most gardeners with a short growing season prefer to start basil seeds indoors 3-4 weeks before the last frost date.

To direct sow, plant the seeds 1/4" deep in rich soil and full sun.

Basil thrives in soil that drains well, but needs water frequently.

In store pick up can be selected at check out before you enter a shipping address. When purchasing a product for in store pick up please plan to pick up your order within 1 week. Orders that aren’t picked up within a week risk being canceled. Any orders that have not been picked up will be refunded for store credit.
